Inlaid Celadon Bottle Vase

Koryo Dynasty, 13th Century

This vase has a tall slender neck rising to the flared mouth, inlaid in black and white with three sprays of chrysanthemum. The neck is surrounded by a band of Ruyi pattern in white slip inlay applied with a clear bright blue-green glaze overall. There are firing sands on the bottom, one kiln kiss on the body and a small part of the mouth has been repaired with an original piece, the foot rim is cracked about 1”. Comes in wooden box.
