Ten Panel Chon-So Screen by Yoo Han-Ik (1844-1922):
Reference #235
This is a rare ten panel Chon-So screen and was written by Hae Kwan, Yoo Han-Ik with gold and light red on silk cloth. Each panel shows a number of antique objects and seal impressions, all bearing seal script inscriptions. Yu Han-Ik has used 19 th century conventions to produce a distinctly archaistic version. This screen is an unusual variation on the “Pack Su Do” (One Hundred Longevity Picture), a calligraphic exercise in which the character for longevity is written in a hundred different ways. Signed Hae Kwan, painted seal Yoo Han-Ik In on the last panel screen. It is in very good condition.
